Chilande Kuloba-Warria

Founder & Executive Director

Chilande is a co-lead of the LCA with over eighteen years of strategic leadership and technical assistance program management for local, national and international development organizations. She provides strategic vision, leadership, and governance oversight for the organization; ensures mission alignment and stakeholder engagement. Passionate about supporting locally based changemakers to effect lasting change in the communities they serve, she supports organizations in sub-Saharan Africa to build effectiveness and resilience in how they govern themselves, guiding them to build strong systems, processes and cultures. In parallel, she works with donors to rebalance power, process and funding so local actors can have the resources they need to scale their visions and meet community needs.

Catherine Mugure Michobo

Director of Operations 

Mugure's wealth of experience in international development and leadership within NGOs underscores her dedication to fostering collaboration and achieving strategic goals. With a history of streamlining operations and demonstrating efficiency, her evolved role as Director of Operations is poised to contribute significantly to the success of community-oriented initiatives in international development programming. She leads organizational processes, resource management, and administrative systems to ensure efficient, compliant, and sustainable operations.

Arinolah Elizabeth-Nite Omollo

Program Strategy & Delivery Lead – Africa

Arinolah’s North Star is to inspire women, youth, and children to live a purpose-driven life, which she believes is where the source of wealth lies.  She designs, implements, and evaluates (Africa) programs; drives strategic growth and partnerships across Africa. Arinolah has worked with development partners and civil society in Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia and the UK, and uses her well-rounded skill set in institutional strengthening, training and team-building to support the Kenya LCA coalition. She is a Rotary Peace Fellow and East Africa Peace Activator, championing the mainstreaming of the positive peace framework to achieve sustainable development.

Paul Subi Adede

Media & Communications Coordinator

Subi  is a seasoned Communications Strategist and Development Communication Specialist with a solid background in strategic communication, social impact storytelling, and fundraising. He manages brand communication, public relations, and content creation across platforms; ensures consistent and impactful messaging. Subi has worked closely with nonprofits, development agencies, and mission-driven organizations to craft and execute engaging communication strategies that enhance visibility, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and drive fundraising success.

Roosie Kuloba 

IT & Administrations Coordinator

Roosie is an Administrative professional with over 3 years of experience. Passionate about Information Technology and socioeconomic justice. She supports IT infrastructure, internal systems, and administrative functions; maintains data security, and office logistics. Roosie takes pride in co-creating work environments that promote mental health and wellness; taking team members on a journey of growth and transformation. Her hard skills include 80 WPM, software knowledge, events planning, employee relations, and people and culture. She is committed to providing essential tools and support systems that unlock organisational & operational potential.

Ilugo Cletus

Nigeria Country Programs Lead

Cletus brings over 19 years of experience to the table, with a strong focus on the past 12 years in Peacebuilding and Development. He Oversees strategic implementation of country-specific programs in Nigeria; fosters local partnerships and ensures impact delivery. Cletus’ work has focused on advancing the Economic Diversification agenda, promoting Livelihoods and Entrepreneurial development, and implementing peacebuilding programs. As the Country Lead, Cletus ensures all stakeholders have a voice, bridging divides and fostering trust among a wide range of organizations, creating a strong foundation for successful collaboration within the Nigerian LCA.

Demissie Bati Gudeta

Ethiopia Country Programs Lead

Demissie Bati is a dedicated development leader and social psychologist with over 18 years of experience in Ethiopia’s fragile contexts. He coordinates program development and execution in Ethiopia; manages teams and builds government and community relations. His work includes managing over $5 million in multi-sector programs that prioritize community ownership and resilience. With seven years as Cluster Program Manager at World Vision and experience with organizations like Compassion International and EKHCDC, he has a strong background in safeguarding and learning systems. Demissie advocates for aid as a means of transferring power, promoting co-creation and elevating the voices of marginalized groups, particularly women and children, for sustainable development.

Mike Tom O’maera 

Associate Technical Advisor

Mike is a highly experienced and strategic professional specializing in project management, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement, particularly focused on youth empowerment, inclusion, and diversity across Africa. He possesses a strong academic background in communication and extensive practical experience in program management, knowledge development, and policy advocacy. Mike Provides specialized technical support across programs; contributes to design, monitoring, and innovation of interventions. His current and past roles highlight his ability to build strategic partnerships, drive impactful initiatives, and foster inclusive environments within diverse organisations.

Caroline Nyokabi Mwangi 

Organizational Development Technical Advisor

Caroline is a seasoned Human Resource professional with over 10 years of experience in Organizational Development and HR Management. With extensive expertise in regional HR management and operations, she has successfully led initiatives in talent development, organizational change, and performance improvement. Caroline strengthens organizational systems, capacity development, and team performance; advises on change management and structure. Passionate about creating social impact, she thrives on partnering with organizations to drive meaningful, transformative change that positively impacts the communities they serve.

Nicole Simiyu

Partnerships Development Coordinator

Driven by a passion for connecting people, ideas, and opportunities, Nicole is a sustainable development professional with experience in building strategic relationships, coordinating donor engagement, and supporting impactful community programmes. She brings a strong writing and storytelling approach to her work, using words to capture impact, inspire collaboration, and strengthen partnerships. Nicole has worked with international agencies and grassroots organizations to enhance capacity, improve knowledge systems, and foster collaborations that drive sustainable change.
